Delete your account and data
You can delete your Mini Locals account at any time, with or without the app installed.
In the app (fastest)
Open the account menu, choose Settings, then under Account tap Delete account and confirm with Delete permanently.
This deletes your account at once, together with what we stored under it: your sign-in, profile and preferences, synced chats and diary, what you saved, liked and followed, your listening history, your paid-access records with us (purchase records we must keep by law are kept separately, see below), and, in the Android app, your session recordings and camera images. The app then continues as a new guest.
Shared replays are separate. A replay you shared stays online at its link until you delete it. Please delete shared replays in the app first, or ask us by email to remove them.
Without the app
Email us from the address you signed in with, or tell us that address and the sign-in method (Google, Apple or email), so we can find your account. Tell us too if we should remove replays you shared. We delete the data and confirm by email, usually within a few days and always within one month.
What we keep, and why
- Records we must keep by law, such as invoices and payment records, for the periods tax and commercial law require (in Germany up to ten years). They are locked away and used for nothing else.
- Gift codes you gave someone stay valid for the person you gave them to; your email address is removed from them.
- Anonymous records, such as usage counts that no longer identify you.
- Payment data held by others. Paddle, Google and Apple keep their own records of your purchases under their own privacy policies.
- Backups roll over and are overwritten within a short time.
Subscriptions are separate
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription in Google Play or the App Store. Please cancel it there first, or cancel a web subscription here.
Data only on your phone
Some things live only on your device, such as the app's cache and preferences. Uninstalling the app or clearing site data in your browser removes them.
